Creating macOS Sierra USB Installer for Mac and Hackintoshes

Hi guys, macOS Sierra Golden Master version has bees released for developer and also for public beta tester. Yeah in this version I feel more better than before because in this version macOS Sierra has more stability. In this tutorial I'll show you about how to create the USB Installer for macOS Sierra :

What you need?

• Download macOS SierraFinal installer here
• Clover bootloader (for Hackintoshes), download here
• FakeSMC.kext and ApplePS2SmartTouchPad.kext, download here
• 16 GB USB flash drive

Preparation

• Extract the downloaded macOS Sierra Golden Master version, then place it to the Applications folder
• Format your USB flash drive to Mac OS X Extended Journaled (read here for the instructions)

Creating the USB Installer

1. Open your Terminal and run the following commands

sudo hdiutil attach /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Sierra.app/Contents/SharedSupport/InstallESD.dmg
sudo asr restore -source /Volumes/OS\ X\ Install\ ESD/BaseSystem.dmg -target /Volumes/USB_NAME -erase -format HFS+
sudo rm /Volumes/OS\ X\ Base\ System/System/Installation/Packages
sudo cp -a /Volumes/OS\ X\ Install\ ESD/Packages /Volumes/OS\ X\ Base\ System/System/Installation/Packages
sudo cp -a /Volumes/OS\ X\ Install\ ESD/BaseSystem.dmg /Volumes/OS\ X\ Install\ ESD/BaseSystem.chunklist /Volumes/OS\ X\ Base\ System/

NOTE : If you are using MacBook, the processes are enough. You can boot into your USB flash drive directly (press and hold Option key while you hear boot sound of your Mac until you entering Startup Manager and choose your USB flash drive to boot).
Change the red text with your USB name. For example your USB name is MyUSB, so you have to change USB_NAME with MyUSB.
2. Installing the Bootloader
- Open the Clover EFI bottloader installer
- Follow these images to continue installing bootloader :

For Legacy Boot :

3. Copy the downloaded kexts into EFI\CLOVER\kexts\Others

Enable VGA + HDMI Intel HD 4400 [Haswell]

Enable VGA dari blank dan HDMI

VGA

• Boot ke Mac OS X
• Edit SMBIOS ke MacbookPro11,2 sesuai dengan cara Bootloader yang dipakai masing masing ( Clover bisa pake Clover Configurator, Chameleon bisa pake Chameleon Wizard )
• Reboot, lalu coba Tancep VGA. dan VGA pun jalan tanpa gelap gelapan :D

HDMI (Clover)

• Masuk ke BIOS, cari CSM pilih disable
• Boot ke Mac OS X, lalu buka Clover Configurator, load plist clover masing masing.
• Masuk ke Kernel and Kext Patches, lalu tambah entry KextsToPatch sebagai berikut :
• Name : AppleIntelFramebufferAzul
• Find :    000200000030000000010509000004000087000000020409000004000087000000FF0000
• Replace : 000200000030000000010509000008000087000000020409001000000087000000FF0000
• Comment : {isi terserah}
• Uncheck InfoPlistPatch
• Save, Reboot, lalu coba HDMI.

Cara Membuat Bootable USB OS X Yosemite

Berikut tutorial cara membuat bootable USB OS X Yosemite 10.10 di iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Mac mini, Mac Pro dan Xserve

Persiapan

• Download OS X Yosemite 10.10 final (download via Appstore atau bisa juga cari link di simbah google)
• Flashdisk minimal 8GB
• Backup

Langkah-langkah cara membuat Bootable USB

1. Colokan USB flashdisk
2. Buka Aplikasi Disk Utility (dari Applications > Utilities folder)
   Pilih USB flashdisk yang akan dibuat bootable
   Arahkan pada tab Erase
   Pilih Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
   Lalu klik tombol Erase
   
3. Untuk donwload OS X Yosemite:
   • dari Appstore : Quit installer rename menjadi Install OS X Yosemite.app
   • dari link luar: copy hasil downloadan di folder Applications
     kemudian ekstrak yosemite hasil downloadan
4. Buka Terminal (Applications > Utilities folder)
   kemudian paste command line berikut ini:
   
   1	sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Yosemite.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Untitled --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Yosemite.app --nointeraction

   
   
5. Tunggu proses bootable sampai selesai
   
   selesai dan bootable usb install OS X Yosemite siap digunakan
